No overlapping times

A page with cohosts offers no slots at all, and every host insists their own calendar is wide open.

Symptom

A booking page with cohosts in All cohosts (group) mode shows no times on any day. Each host's calendar has plenty of free space, and removing a cohost makes slots reappear. The Schedule tab shows a warning that the hosts have no overlapping hours.

Why it happens

  • In group mode every host attends every meeting, so guests are only offered times that work for all of them. That is the intersection of everyone's hours, not the union.
  • The hosts are far enough apart in timezone that their working days never meet. New York 9 to 17 and Tokyo 9 to 18 have no shared hour at all.
  • A host set narrow hours (for example 9 to 11 only) that happen to fall outside everyone else's day once converted.
  • One host's hours are set in the wrong timezone, so they look right on the grid but land in the middle of the night for everyone else.

How to fix

  1. Open the page editor → Schedule. If you see the amber "no overlapping hours" warning, the intersection really is empty.
  2. Step through each host in the row of names. Check the line under the grid, which reads their hours back in the page timezone. A host whose hours convert to the middle of the night has the wrong timezone selected.
  3. Widen someone's hours until there is a shared window. Even one hour a day is enough to make the page bookable.
  4. If the hosts genuinely cannot meet, switch Who attends to Round robin on the Schedule tab. Round robin routes each booking to one host, so the hours add up instead of cancelling out.
Group mode narrows, round robin widens
Adding a cohost in group mode can only reduce the times on offer. Adding one in round robin can only increase them. Pick the mode by what the meeting actually needs.

For how the two modes work, see Teams and cohosts. For per-host hours, see Availability.

Still not working?

Open with the booking page URL and the timezone each host should be in.
