Wrong availability
TimeTuna is offering times that are actually busy on your calendar, or hiding times that should be free.
Symptom
- Guests can book on top of an existing event.
- A genuinely free hour is missing from the picker.
- Times appear in the wrong block of the day.
Why it happens
- The calendar that holds the conflicting event is not ticked under Block availability for this booking page.
- The event is marked as Free (not busy) in your calendar. TimeTuna respects that setting.
- You added an iCal feed that has not refreshed yet (feeds re-fetch periodically, not in real time).
- The page timezone does not match where you actually are right now.
- Minimum gap (buffer) is creating a hole or filling one in unexpectedly.
How to fix
- Open the page editor → Calendars. Tick every calendar that should block availability, including personal and shared ones.
- Open the conflicting event in Google Calendar or Outlook. Check that it is marked Busy, not Free. Events created as "Free" do not block slots.
- If the conflict is on an iCal feed, wait 15 to 30 minutes for the feed to refresh, or disconnect and reconnect it to force a sync.
- Open Availability and check the timezone. If you set hours of 9 to 17 in America/Los_Angeles but your account is in Europe/Amsterdam, slots will look 9 hours off.
- Toggle the minimum gap to zero temporarily and reload, to confirm whether the buffer is the cause.
The Free/Busy flag is the usual culprit
Calendar apps default to "Busy" for new events, but events created from emails, holidays, or third-party integrations often arrive as "Free". Open them once and flip the flag.
