TimeTuna

Sign-in code not working

You asked for an email sign-in code and it is rejected, or it never arrives.

Symptom

  • You type the 6-digit code and get "That code is wrong or has expired".
  • The email arrives but the code has already stopped working.
  • You are looking at an old email and its code no longer works.
  • No email arrives at all.

Why it happens

  • The code expires. Ask for a new one rather than reusing an older email, and always use the code from the most recent message.
  • A code works once. If you already signed in with it, a second attempt fails.
  • You are on an older email. Corporate mail security (Microsoft Defender Safe Links, Mimecast, Proofpoint) used to break sign-in links by opening them before you did. TimeTuna emails no longer contain anything that signs you in, only the code, so always use the code from the newest email.
  • The email went to spam, quarantine, or a "Focused vs Other" split inbox.

How to fix

  1. Click Send a new code on the sign-in page and use the newest email.
  2. Type the code rather than pasting a chain of spaces around it. Only the 6 digits matter.
  3. Check spam, junk, quarantine, and the Outlook "Other" tab.
  4. Add noreply@timetuna.com to your contacts, or ask your IT admin to allow it.
  5. If you are on a Microsoft account, use Continue with Microsoft instead. It skips email entirely and connects your calendar in the same step, which you need before anyone can book with you.
You can finish in a different browser
The code does not have to be typed in the browser or device you started in. Request the code on your laptop, read it on your phone, type it wherever you like.
